Carte In...cantate, an exhibition discloses a major figure of Italian XIX century literary scene

Up to February 2nd, 2020 Villa Monastero hosts a vast collection of letters and documents from its archives reconstructing the figure of Antonio Ghislanzoni, a renowned writer, poet and librettist born in Lecco in the XIX century. The exhibition includes several paintings and sights of Varenna and Lake Como at that time, as well as literay publications and opera booklets signed or edited by Ghislanzoni, notably  Giuseppe Verdi's "Aida".


The exhibition and House museum are open every Sunday starting from November 10th and every day from December 26th and January 6th, from 10.30am to 4.30pm.


Entrance is included in the usual fares for the House Museum. For more information :
